LONG BEACH, CA - January 16, 2006 - BittWare, Inc., the leading supplier of hybrid (DSP and FPGA) board-level solutions based on Analog Devices' SHARC® and Altera's FPGA technology, announced today at the Bus & Board Conference that the company has just completed their most successful year in 17 years of operation. Sales, bookings and profits all exceeded expectations and made 2005 BittWare's most profitable year on record.
BittWare attributes the continued success to its team of dedicated employees who are committed to developing high quality products based on the latest technologies. Specifically driving the increase in sales were BittWare's product lines based on the TigerSHARC® processors from Analog Devices and Stratix™ II FPGAs from Altera, along with the demand for the new T2 Family of hybrid COTS DSP/FPGA boards. This new product family features the 600 MHz ADSP-TS201S TigerSHARC, and BittWare's ATLANTiS™ architecture implemented in a Stratix II FPGA, resulting in processing performance, I/O throughput, and flexibility that simply outperforms all other COTS boards for continuous real-time signal processing applications.
"Our continued success can be directly attributed to our Hybrid Signal Processing board families which were utilized in various applications in the wireless communications, instrumentation, and military markets," said Darren Taylor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BittWare. Sales growth was 40% versus 2004, and doubled from 2003."
